a cracked water main located near Humboldt and commerce in the Milwaukee area.

This sinkhole took shape on Saturday evening.

2 cars that were near the sinkhole dropped straight in the ditch.

This sinkhole was measured to be about 30 feet wide and 20 feet deep. Many officials declared that the moment a 42-inch water main broke

at about 8:00 p.m, it eventually cracked at 9:30.

There are some city crews that have started repairs to the road, it is not clear at the time, whether or not the sinkhole will be cleaned up.

Looking at the damage, the Milwakee Water Works engineering staff evaluated the situation.

A musician by the name of Andrew Gelles, was the owner of the car that dopped into the sinkhole.

This incedent happened as he was about to play with his band at a local bar just around the corner.

Here’s what he had to say about the acident: Unloaded my gear and saw a parking spot available just at the bottom of that hill and thought, ‘Perfect, I’ll just part there,’”

The good news is that both cars were not occupied.

Within the year, this is the second largest sinkhole located on Milwaukee’s east side. Many of the floods in July 2010 caused another massive hole to form at North and Oakland Avenues.

There can be a claim filed at the local city office, in order to help the owners recover from their damages.

According to the city, there are about 5-6 water mains that break everyday.
